What LINE of Skin Care products should I use?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: eye skin care

I want a cleanser, toner, exfolliant and moisturiser and eye cream. I want all the products from the same line, Im tired of using a mix of this and that. I just turned 30, and my skin is combination oily and dry. What is BOTH affordabe and good???

I used to work for Lancome, which admiteddly expensive. If you can afford it my 1st choice would be Primordiale (£32 a jar – 50ml). Its got anti oxidants in to prevent daily pollution and sun damage. Also SPF 15. If your budget is smaller heres a secret – L’oreal are owned by Lancome and a lot of their products are just as good as Lancome. You can get a full range of products (your full regime) for about £30/40 for everything!.

If your skin is combination you can get away with using any type of moisteriser. Look out for one with any SPF in (at least factor 15)as, now you are in your 30s you really need to start protecting your face from sun damage, it will be too late at 50!

Good luck

Is this a Good Skin Care Regime for Someone My age?

I am 23 year old female. I finally have good skin. I want to keep my skin looking great

Morning: Noxema wash. Aveeno luminous daily moisturizer with SPF 15.

Night: Noxema wash.
Burt’s Bees eye cream
Then, I alternate nightly between pure vitamin E oil, Burt’s Bees Night cream, and prescription Retin-A gel.

Yeah its not bad at all. also a tip: I had a lot worse skin than i have now. but after i went on the pill i rarely get pimples etc. so maybe that’s an idea.

Has anyone tried these skin care products and know if they work or have suggestions?

Avon Lighten Up for dark circles around the eyes?? has anyone tried this product and seen good results for dark under eye circles?? Or does anyone know a product they tried that worked for under eye circles??
thanks!

I personally cannot use Avon or Mary Kay products … I have very sensitive skin … products by Nicole Miller work great for me. I don’t have it with me so I’m not sure of the exact name, but Nicole Miller does have a great under eye cream.

Also, for makeup, I use every day minerals and they have a "concealer" (called Sunlight) that is specifically for hiding the under eye circles. I have used it and it does work.

Hope this helps

Do you think that skin care products could be the result of me looking like i have a black eye?

All around my eyes is dark red and sore …
This is what i use;
Dove Skin scrub in the shower
Dove 2 in 1 toner and cleanser

then
Benzac AC wash for pimples out of shower
Benzac AC pimple cream (apply to just thepimple not all over) out of shower

it really hurts and my mum asked me "DID SOMEONE PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE" when i went in looked in the mirror it was all dark red and sore and a bit swollen..

Yes. Stop using so many products. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser; followed by a gentle toner (like witch hazel – this will dry out the acne). Do NOT scrub! Use a gentle water-based moisturizer. Smile. NOW you’re beautiful!

I just turned 23, and am female

Morning: Wash with noxema, then neutrogena oil free moisturizer with spf 30

Night: Noxema wash, then prescription Retin-A gel, and Burt’s Bees eye cream

Is this appropriate for someone my age? I have that in between skin. I dont have wrinkles yet and would like to prevent them. I also still get breakouts on occasion.

Yup it looks nice too me as long your skin looks good not irritated or dry.

Trying to find a good skin care product?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: eye skin care

Hi, I’m 31 and want to start a good skin regimen. I am looking for something that is affordable, but will keep my skin looking fresh, clear and young! I’m trying to find a set with a cleanser, eye cream, mosturizer and night cream. Any suggestions? Again, not looking to spend hundreds of dollars.

If you are looking for something inexpensive Olay makes some great products. There is another product that is amazing, Dermal Renu. You can get coupon codes for 20% off through the site and email, http://shop.dermalrenu.com

at what age did u start taking care of your skin- antiwrinkle, sunscreen, eye creams, etc?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: eye skin care

and I mean REALLY taking care of it

Age 16. I’m 33 years old and people still think I’m in my mid-twenties. Take care of your skin as soon as possible. Wear make-up containing SPF, and always wash and moisturize your face at night. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have good skin. When I was 16 I used Oil of Olay with SPF since I didnt wear foundation. Find the mositurizer that is right for your skin.

Is expensive, department store skin care better than cheaper, drug store brands?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: eye skin care

I currently use a lot of Fresh skin care and my wallet feels it. I use Crème Ancienne which retails at $135 and other products like the eye cream and sun block with nothing under $40. More like $60. It’s insane. Because my crème was made my eunuch monks in a monastery in the Carpathian Mountains I have to pay more for it? Urf.

However, I was taught the more you pay for skincare the better the results. Is that necessarily true? Are the more expensive brands that much better than drugstore kinds? What are your favorite brands on either side of the fence?

Discuss.
I’m serious about the monks. From the Fresh website:

"furthering the legacy of the formula, Fresh has chosen to handcraft Crème Ancienne in remote monasteries in Europe."

Maybe they weren’t eunuchs but I digress. Hrm..can you really get that from a drug store brand?

No, expensive is not necessarily better. But then, that doesn’t mean the cheaper version is the answer either.

The problem with department store skin care is they charge you for alot of additives that either cause problems you might not have otherwise (break-outs, etc), or are in such insignificant amounts that they aren’t effective. (ie – sunblock in moisturizer or make-up is not really going to protect you) Also, they recommend products like toners that don’t really do anything….they MAY take off the last remnants of your makeup, but more often than not the toner is simply another opportunity to cause problems – like overdrying or breakouts.

Whether you’re paying top dollar or using the least expensive (Suave), the main thing is to make sure you’re using the right products for your skin type, and that you’re using it correctly.

I have alot of issues with my skin, (breakouts, rosacea, aging, sagging….all sorts of fun!) so I’ve used just about every product known to mankind. One of the best sources of skincare INFORMATION I’ve found is www.dermadoctor.com. I would say the products they sell are mid-line….not the cheapest, not the most expensive. I’m not necessarily recommending their products, but the information provided by the website can certainly help you narrow down which products are best for you.

Having said that, the best skin care line I’ve encountered so far is Murad. I never knew they sold skin care targeting aging skin, sensitive skin, redness (rosacea), and yes – the famous acne line that we’re so familiar with from the infomercials.

I use a combination of the redness/acne skin care products, and they are extremely effective, as I’m seeing some of the best results I’ve had in years. So whatever your skin care needs, I would not hesitate to recommend this. Again, not the most expensive or the cheapest….but the most effective I’ve encountered, which makes me feel like the money is being spent wisely.

One sidenote: I started using Oil of Olay facial cleansing pads for sensitive skin to remove all my makeup FIRST, then I go ahead with the normal cleansing routine. I found that making sure all the makeup is off my face makes the products and treatments I use far more effective.

Good luck finding the products that are right for YOU. Hope this helps -
