The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (http://www.safecosmetics.org) is a coalition effort launched in 2004 to protect the health of consumers and workers by securing the corporate, regulatory and legislative reforms necessary to eliminate dangerous chemicals from cosmetics and personal care products.

Their website provides a source where you can learn about categories of products of particular concern, plus look up safety rankings of the products you use with EWG’s Skin Deep database.
